Gorilla Trekking
Uganda offers the gallant traveller a chance to enjoy a more adventurous level of safari. Boasting over 1060 species of birds, and wildlife not found anywhere else, it is the original Eden. Rub shoulders with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Only eight visitors are allowed to view each gorilla family every day and our expert guides will explain the etiquette involved in meeting a giant silverback.
Fly in Gorilla Safaris
The Fly-in - Gorilla Safari experience takes you deep into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for an eye-opening encounter with the gentle giants “endangered mountain gorillas”. After landing at the international airport in Entebbe, you will fly to the Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip on the outskirts of Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks. Home to roughly 340 mountain gorillas, the parks are the two remaining protected sites where this subspecies of great apes exist in the wild. Some of the family groups are habituated to human presence and will allow trekkers to track and observe them from a respectful and mandated distance as they go about their daily lives.
