9 Days Off The Beaten Track of South Sudan

Culture, People and Wildlife

SAFARI DURATION

9 Days

Tour Overview

This 9-day expedition into South Sudan is designed for adventurous travelers seeking raw, authentic experiences far from traditional safari routes. Starting in Juba, the journey explores remote landscapes, vibrant tribal cultures, and untouched wilderness areas.

Unlike classic East African safaris, this itinerary focuses deeply on cultural immersion—engaging with pastoralist communities such as the Mundari along the Nile and other indigenous groups whose traditions remain largely unchanged. Combined with visits to lesser-known wildlife areas like Boma National Park and Bandingilo National Park, this journey offers a rare blend of people, culture, and wildlife in one of Africa’s most unexplored destinations. This is not a luxury safari in the traditional sense—it is a true expedition, offering meaningful encounters, dramatic scenery, and a deep connection to one of Africa’s last frontiers.
